Congratulations to our March, 2019, Employee of the Month, Cris Sierks.
Cris is a LPN /MDS Coordinator /Director of Nursing Assistant. She began her career as a C.N.A, then earned her Nursing degree as an LPN and has served our facility since 2013.
She enjoys camping, fishing, travelling, and spending time with her family. She has been married for 20 years and has 4 children, and 9 grandchildren. Cris graduated from Callaway High School and her Mom still lives in the community.
Cris’ co-workers nominated her twice this month. They said, “Cris stepped up on day shift today and didn’t hesitate to lend a hand with resident care as we were short staffed. She asked who she could help with and what needed done. This made a stressful morning go smoothly for all. Thanks, Cris!”
They also nominated her by stating, “Cris spends days at a time away from home to be at work! She has come in in the wee hours of the morning to ensure a 1-1 Resident is properly supervised so staff can care for others. Cris helps the charge nurse with assessments and documentation. She has spent hours calling and getting staff to cover shifts. This list could go on forever, but Cris gives 1000% for our residents. Thank You Cris. Cris also makes sure our MDS Assessments are completed accurately and that we are in compliance with CMS regulations. She is a key player in our success.
We asked Cris why she enjoys what she does, and she said “I have always enjoyed the Long Term setting and caring for residents as a nurse. I took on MDS Coordinator when I was unable to work on the floor.” We are blessed to have you on our team.
