Congratulations to our December Employee of the Month, Karen Bomberger
Karen is the Office Manager for the Callaway Good Life Center and began working here in October of 2013. Prior to working here, Karen taught school, worked at Tenneco Automotive in Cozad in many different capacities and at BD in Broken Bow in many different capacities.
Karen enjoys sewing, crafting and playing the piano. She lives in Oconto with husband Glen. Tim Bomberger lives in Fall City and Tom(Amy) Bomberger lives in Lincoln. They have 2 grandchildren, Samantha and Frank who live in Lincoln.
Karen’s Co-workers nominated her, and had this to say, “Karen brings her own items to the facility to make it beautiful! Thank you for the very Christmassy front dining room!”, and “Karen is always willing to step up and plan, organize, and create our décor and yard decorations to make our facility look festive. She seldom asks for help, and she has the talent some of us don’t. Thanks.”
When asked why she enjoys her job, Karen has this to say, “I enjoy the interactions I have with our residents and staff. I make sure that I get to spend time talking, and reminiscing with our residents. I enjoy the times I get to play the piano for the sing-a-longs, and I think I know just about everyone’s favorite hymn! Anytime I can get out from behind my desk and spend time with the residents is a blessing. Thanks for letting me to work here!”
